Liza began their career as a Lab Technician in the UF Physics Department Laboratory, where they utilized theoretical principles of heat transfer, material properties and molecular physics to design and test mKelvin thermometers. In 2013, they became a Statics Teaching Assistant at the UF Mechanical Department. In 2014, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern at MOVE Systems, where they designed mechanical components and sheet metal enclosures for electrical charging stations for idle ambulance vehicles.
