Paden Portillo

Paden Portillo has an extensive work experience in software engineering and project management. In 2022, they joined Brinqa as a Principal Software Engineer. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2022, they owned and founded Advent Code and Design, where they completed various projects including enterprise and wholesale telecommunications applications, survey management software for banks, a finance application for an equipment financing platform, and a scaffolding app for web app initialization.

From 2013 to 2017, Paden worked at Noesis/LeaseQ as a Senior Frontend Engineer, Scrum Master, and Manager for an offshore team. Paden focused on improving financial apps using TypeScript, Angular, and .NET stack. Furthermore, in 2016, they worked as a Mentor at Thinkful.

Earlier in their career, Paden was a Software Engineer at Flocasts in 2012, where they worked on backend and frontend development. Paden also served as a Project Management Consultant and a Computer Science Grad Intern at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute. In these roles, they developed web applications including a project management application for internal use.

Paden began their career as a Research Assistant for CR2G and NASA Ames at The University of Texas at El Paso. Paden primarily worked on research projects from 2007 to 2011.Overall, Paden has a strong background in software engineering, project management, and research, with experience in a variety of industries.

Paden Portillo has a strong educational background in the field of Computer Science. Paden attended The University of Texas at El Paso from 2005 to 2010 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science. In 2011, Paden pursued further education at the same institution and completed a Master's of Science in Software Engineering in 2012. Additionally, Paden obtained a certification as a Certified Software Development Associate (CSDA) from the IEEE in August 2011.
