Catherine Michael has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Catherine started their career as the PR and Promotions Manager at Nintendo in 1997 and then moved on to Mincom, where they served as the Corporate Communications Director. Catherine later joined Triumph International as the National Marketing Manager for Australia and then took on the role of Marketing Director at Rowland. Catherine then worked as the Head of Public Relations on a contract basis at the Golden Casket Lottery Corporation. Catherine gained further experience as the Communications Manager for Foster's Group in Queensland and Western Australia. Catherine then became the Marketing Director at Merlo Coffee and later started their own consultancy, CM Ink, where they provided strategic communications and marketing advice to various organizations. Catherine also joined TShopBiz Group as an Advisory Board Member and currently holds a Director position at Brisbane Powerhouse.
Catherine Michael began their education journey in 1989 at The University of Queensland, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their major was in Journalism, and they completed the program in 1991. After a short break, Catherine returned to academia in 1995 and enrolled at RMIT University. There, they earned a Graduate Diploma with Distinction in Public Relations, completing their studies in 1996.
