Carina Syring, Cert. Eng., Ph.D. is an experienced professional in pharmaceutical and biologics manufacturing, currently serving as VP of External Manufacturing at Bristol Myers Squibb since August 2021. Carina has held significant roles at MSD Sharp & Dohme GmbH as Director of Biologics External Manufacturing since April 2016 and previously served as Global Head of Biologics External Manufacturing at MSD International from May 2019 to August 2021. Carina's extensive background includes leadership positions at Novartis, where responsibilities encompassed project management, operational excellence, GMP compliance, and manufacturing strategy for vaccines and biologics. A graduate of Technische Universität Berlin with a Ph.D. in Process Engineering and a Master's in Biotechnology, Carina has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, technology transfer, and building high-performing teams throughout their career.
