Carissa Pilling

Carissa Pilling, Ph.D., currently serves as the Associate Director and US Scientific Learning Lead for Oncology at Bristol Myers Squibb, a role held since May 2018 that encompasses onboarding for new Medical Science Liaison (MSL) hires and conducting Field Readiness Validations. Prior to this, Carissa was a Senior Medical Science Liaison focusing on Biomarkers & Diagnostics, where significant contributions included the launch of five oncology indications of nivolumab and other therapies. Earlier experience includes working as a Medical Science Liaison on three oncology and hematology indications and engaging in research roles at Fred Hutch, Seagen, Omeros Corporation, and the University of Colorado Boulder, demonstrating a solid foundation in molecular and cellular biology. Carissa holds a Ph.D. from the University of Washington and a B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder, graduating summa cum laude.
