Francisco Ramírez-Valle, MD, PhD, FAAD, serves as Senior Vice President and Head of the Immunology and Cardiovascular Thematic Research Center at Bristol Myers Squibb since November 2019, following various leadership roles within the company focused on translational early development and immunology research. Ramírez-Valle has also been an Executive Director at Celgene, where management focused on developing therapeutics for inflammatory and immune-mediated diseases. In academia, Ramírez-Valle held positions including Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, where responsibilities encompassed patient care and oversight of medical students and residents. Ramírez-Valle holds an MD and a PhD in Microbiology from New York University, and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Rochester. Additional board memberships include Ballet Hispánico and the Metropolitan Opera, both starting in 2024.
