Janet Caceres-Cortes

Janet Caceres-Cortes is a Director at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where since February 1998, leadership has been provided for New Jersey's Bioanalytical and Discovery Analytical Sciences Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) groups, focusing on advancing discovery and development programs through program support and research activities related to small molecules, macromolecules, and drug modalities. Prior to this role, Janet served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from August 1994 to December 1997, applying NMR spectroscopy and molecular modeling to investigate anticancer drugs and their interactions with macromolecules. Earlier experience includes working as a Chemist in the Natural Products Laboratory at the National Institutes of Health in early 1990, utilizing various chemical analysis techniques to identify biologically active compounds. Janet holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras.
