M.G. Kim has extensive experience in technology leadership roles. From 2005 to present, they have served as the Chief Technology Officer and Data Protection Officer at Encyclopaedia Britannica. In this role, they have led the company's efforts in data protection and privacy, holding multiple certifications in the field. M.G. has also managed global IT systems operations, cloud computing, and QA teams. Prior to this, M.G. Kim was the CTO at On Demand Technologies, Inc. from 2001 to 2005, where they oversaw the development and launch of internet streaming multimedia products and led a staff of up to 30 engineers. From 1996 to 2001, they held the CTO position at Vision Technologies, Inc., where they managed large software development projects and served as a systems architect.

M.G. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications related to information privacy, including the Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT), Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and Certified Information Privacy Protection / Europe (CIPP/E). The certifications were obtained in 2019, with CIPT and CIPP/US obtained in November and September respectively, while CIPM and CIPP/E were obtained in April and March respectively.
