Mohamad Nizam

Mohamad Nizam serves as the Head of Legal & Regulatory Affairs for British American Tobacco in the Middle East since April 2023, overseeing the legal and compliance functions for the company's regional operations. Prior to this role, Nizam was the Lead Counsel for Allianz Partners, focusing on international health in the Middle East and Africa. Nizam has extensive experience in legal management obtained through previous positions at Aetna, where responsibilities included managing legal functions across multiple regions and advising on commercial and regulatory matters, as well as at Al Tamimi & Company, specializing in corporate governance and transactions. Nizam holds multiple degrees in law, including an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center, and has contributed academically as a lecturer at Saint Joseph University in Dubai.
