Julie Jupe MCIPR, Chart.PR is a strategic communications leader with extensive experience in managing communications across large public sector organizations. Currently serving as Head of Communications at British Antarctic Survey since December 2021, Julie has previously held senior roles at UK Research and Innovation and the University of Bristol, where responsibilities included leading corporate communications teams and influencing communication strategies. Notable previous positions include Corporate Communications Business Manager at Avon and Somerset Constabulary and Communications Planning and Internal Development Manager at the Environment Agency. Julie’s career began at the National Rivers Authority, where foundational roles in public affairs and corporate communications were established. Julie also contributed to the Chartered Institute of Public Relations South West committee, serving as Chair in 2016, and established Jupe Communications Ltd to provide strategic freelance services. Julie holds a BA (Hons) in Philosophy from UCL.
