Rosanne Palmer

Rosanne Palmer is an experienced research and policy professional with a strong background in social work, public health, and politics. Currently serving as the Research and Policy Lead Officer at the British Association of Social Workers since November 2020, Rosanne has previously worked as a Research and Policy Officer at Emmaus UK and held various research and teaching positions at Cardiff University, including as a Research Associate and University Teacher. Notable roles also include Policy Advisor at Age Cymru, where responsibilities covered health and social care, and Research and Policy Officer at Action on Smoking and Health Wales. Rosanne began academic career as a Deputy Director at the Wales Governance Centre, with earlier research roles at the University of Birmingham focusing on multi-level governance and UK devolution. Educational qualifications include a PhD in EU Politics from the University of Birmingham, alongside an MA in Diplomatic Studies and a BA in Modern European Studies.
