Alexis Brown

Alexis Brown is an accomplished academic and policy expert with extensive experience in higher education and research impact. Currently serving as Head of Global Education Insights at the British Council since November 2022, Alexis previously held the role of Director of Policy and Advocacy at the Higher Education Policy Institute. Additional roles include Policy Manager at the Russell Group of Universities, Research Impact Manager at UCL, and Teaching Associate at the University of Sheffield. Alexis's experience also encompasses significant positions at the University of Oxford, including Tutor and Welfare Dean, alongside developing innovative projects at TORCH | The Oxford Research Centre in the Humanities. Alexis holds a Research Doctorate and a Master's degree from the University of Oxford, complemented by a Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
