Dr Elaine Boylan

Dr. Elaine Boylan is currently the Head of Health and Science Policy at the British Dental Association since October 2022. Previously, Dr. Boylan served as a Programme Manager for Population Health Sciences at the Medical Research Council from February 2018 to October 2022 and held the position of Higher Scientific Officer at Public Health England from January 2014 to February 2018. Dr. Boylan began a career in research as a Research Nutritionist at the Institute of Food and Health, University College Dublin, from November 2007 to December 2012, where involvement in two national nutrition surveys in Ireland took place. Educationally, Dr. Boylan obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Nutrition from University College Dublin (2008-2013) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Human Nutrition from Ulster University (2003-2007).
