Multihazard Scientist at British Geological Survey

Annie Winson is a Hazard and Vulnerability Specialist at the British Geological Survey since October 2018, with prior experience as a Lecturer in Physical Geography at Kingston University and as an Associate Lecturer at Aberystwyth University. Annie's expertise includes a significant engagement in volcanology, evidenced by a role as a Research Associate at the Earth Observatory of Singapore, where collaboration on a research project about Gede volcano was a key focus. Annie holds a PhD in Volcanology from Nanyang Technological University Singapore and additional degrees in Natural Hazard Science and Geoscience, complementing a diverse career spanning roles in academia, research, and technical assistance in well data management and project monitoring.
