Itahisa Gonzalez Alvarez

Itahisa Gonzalez Alvarez is a Data Scientist at the British Geological Survey since September 2022, following a five-year tenure as a postgraduate researcher at the University of Leeds. Itahisa's expertise in seismology is supported by a PhD from the University of Leeds and a Master's degree in Geophysics and Meteorology from the Universidad de Granada. Previous experience includes a fieldwork collaboration in Antarctica focused on seismic signal analysis, roles in science communication and education at various institutions, and internships that involved seismic data collection and analysis. Additionally, Itahisa has engaged in scientific projects aimed at improving public understanding of science through communication roles and teaching initiatives.
