Kirstie Wright

Kirstie Wright is a highly experienced geoscientist currently serving as a Higher Subsurface Geoscientist at the British Geological Survey since May 2023 and as a Director at North Sea Core CIC since October 2018, leading a successful initiative to enhance accessibility in geoscience through the redistribution of offshore core materials. Previous roles include Climate Change and Resilience Project Officer at Historic Environment Scotland, Technical Marketing Geoscientist at Rocktype, and various consulting positions that involved geological communication, seismic interpretation, and advising on petroleum geology for media productions. Kirstie has an extensive academic background, holding a PhD in Geology from Durham University and has engaged in significant industry-related research, including subsurface interpretations and reservoir modelling during tenure at DONG Energy and several postdoctoral positions at Heriot-Watt University.
