Nikki Smith

Nikki Smith is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in digital specialization and geographic information systems. Currently serving as a Senior Digital Specialist and Central Asia lead at the British Geological Survey since September 2000, Nikki also leads the BGS:SIGMA project on digital data capture software. Concurrently, Nikki holds a position as a Senior GIS Specialist and is the Kyrgyz Geological Data Project Lead at the Association for Geographic Information since January 2017, along with being a committee member of the AGI Scotland National Group. Previous experience includes a role as a GIS Analyst at Robertson Research International Ltd from January 1998 to September 2000. Nikki holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Remote Sensing from the University of Aberdeen and a Bachelor's Degree in Geology from Kingston University.
