Bash Akhtar

Bash Akhtar is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in manufacturing and operations management. Since July 2019, Bash Akhtar has served as Vice President and General Manager of the Advanced Detection Systems Group at Rapiscan Systems. Concurrently, Bash Akhtar has been a British Men's Artistic Gymnastics Judge (National) for British Gymnastics since June 2014. Previous roles include Managing Director at Syrio Ltd, Operations Director at Martin Audio Ltd, Global Director of Manufacturing, Realisation & Infrastructure at Smiths Detection, and Manufacturing Director at Apollo Fire Detectors. Bash Akhtar also held the position of Director of Operations at Harmonic Inc and worked in Manufacturing & Quality Engineering at Marconi. Educational credentials include a BEng in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire and management training at Cranfield School of Management.
