Bobby Crutchley has a diverse work experience in the field of coaching and performance development. Bobby started their career as the Head Hockey Coach at the University of Bath in 1999 and worked in that position until 2006. Bobby then joined England Hockey Ltd as a Coach for Great Britain & England Hockey from 2006 to 2013 and later became the Head Coach for the same organizations from 2013 to 2018. In 2014, they also served as a Coaching Mentor for The Premier League. In 2018, they joined British Gymnastics as the Head of Performance Coach Development and Co-Head of Performance Support. Additionally, they have also worked as a Coaching Mentor for the European Hockey Federation since 2020.

Bobby Crutchley has a diverse education background. Bobby completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Coach Development from Leeds Beckett University in 2023. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Sports Coaching from the University of Central Lancashire from 2009 to 2012. Bobby further enhanced their coaching skills through the Elite Coach Programme at UK Sport from 2007 to 2010. Bobby also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Elite Coaching from the University of Central Lancashire from 2009 to 2011. In terms of additional certifications, they received the Spotlight Accredited Practitioner certification from mindflick Ltd. Their earlier education includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Exercise & Nutrition Science from the University of Chester from 1998 to 2000, Business Studies from Sheffield Hallam University from 1988 to 1990, and they attended Calday Grange Grammar School from 1981 to 1988.
