Charlie Lane is an accomplished equestrian expert with extensive experience spanning over four decades. As an Equestrian Expert Witness for Lane Equestrian Consultants Limited, Charlie has authored over 2000 expert reports and provided oral evidence in numerous court cases. Active with the British Horseracing Authority since 1990, Charlie serves as the BHA Stewards Panel Chair and has managed The Jockey Club Racecourse Department. In British Eventing, Charlie has held several key positions, including Independent Chair of Youth Performance Selectors and Chef d'Equipe for the British Three-Day Event Team, leading them to notable achievements. Additional roles include serving on various panels within the British Equestrian Federation and the British Horse Society, alongside coaching and stewarding responsibilities in the equestrian community. Charlie's military background as Commanding Officer of The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery further complements an impressive career shaped by leadership and expertise in equestrian disciplines.
