Jonathan van der Westhuizen is an experienced professional in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) consulting, currently serving as an Executive at British International Investment since September 2022, providing ESG support to investment teams. Previously, Jonathan worked as a Principal Consultant at ERM from November 2016 to September 2022, leading the NEBU Sustainable Finance team with a focus on E&S advisory for international finance institutions. Jonathan also held roles as an ESG Consultant at both ERM and as an Independent Consultant, specializing in EHS compliance, due diligence assessments, and sustainable finance. Jonathan holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Marine and Environmental Law from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Trade Law, along with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Stellenbosch.
