Sherine Shohdy

Sherine Shohdy is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leadership and strategic roles across various financial sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Egypt and Regional Director for North Africa at British International Investment since July 2020, Sherine also holds multiple independent board positions, including Independent Non-Executive Board Member at Ingaz Microfinance and Cairo Leasing Corporation, and Observing Independent Non-Executive Board Member at the British Egyptian Business Association. Previous roles include Senior Consultant at IFC - International Finance Corporation and Chief Investment Officer at EMIC Project Development. Sherine's career began at the International Finance Corporation, progressing through various positions such as Investment Officer and Investment Analyst, with notable achievements including a significant equity investment in a Palestinian bank. Sherine holds an MSc in Investment Banking & Islamic Finance from the University of Reading and a BA in Accounting & Finance from The American University in Cairo.
