Alexander Pendry is an experienced international humanitarian professional currently serving as the Global Response Manager at the British Red Cross since September 2012. In this role, Alexander leads the Emergencies Team within the International Directorate, ensuring quality assurance for international emergency responses and managing new emergencies outside designated partnership regions. Alexander has held various positions within the organization, including Country Cluster Manager for Yemen, Libya, and Turkey, as well as roles focused on emergency response, regional programs in Southern Africa, and country support in crisis-affected regions. Prior experience includes multiple programme officer roles at Accenture, contributing to significant projects with British Telecom and the Department of Work & Pensions. Alexander holds a Master of Science in International Relations from the London School of Economics, a Master’s Degree in Modern History from the University of Oxford, a postgraduate certificate in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Organizational Leadership from the University of Lucerne.
