Sam Franklin

Sam Franklin is an experienced professional in disaster management and emergency planning, currently serving as the Director of Events at the Institute of Civil Protection & Emergency Management since December 2021, and as the Local Resilience Manager for British Transport Police since August 2021, focusing on partner engagement in North/Northwest London. With a background in events and logistics through freelance roles at IRONMAN and Gable Events, Sam also has significant experience in emergency planning, having worked as an Emergency Planning Officer for West Berkshire Council and held internships with Avon Fire & Rescue Service and various councils. Educationally, Sam holds a degree in Disaster Management and Emergency Planning from Coventry University, complemented by an Extended Diploma in Public Services from West Herts College and foundational studies at Watford Grammar School for Boys.
