Matt Jefferson has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Matt started their career as a Professional Rugby Coach with various organizations. Matt then worked as a Regional Rugby Development Officer for the Rugby Football Union, where they provided support and consultancy to multiple rugby clubs. Matt also served as a Coach Educator and later became a Board Member for Derbyshire Sport.

In 2013, Matt co-founded oneathlete, an organization that focuses on providing integrated sports performance support to athletes. As a Co-Founder and Director, they prioritized individualized care and a team approach.

Matt also worked as a Business Development and Operations Manager for Response Physiotherapy, where they played a crucial role in the company's growth and management. Additionally, they worked as a Project and Event Consultant during their self-employment period.

Moving towards performance coaching and athlete development, Matt joined UK Athletics as a Performance Lifestyle Consultant, supporting athletes in achieving success both on and off the field. At the English Institute of Sport, they served as a Performance Lifestyle Coach working with British Triathlon and British Athletics, focusing on athlete support, mental health strategies, and post-athletic career transitions.

In 2017, Matt founded Made for More, where they collaborated with CEOs, Leaders, and Teams to enhance performance and bridge the gap between potential and actual performance. Finally, Matt's most recent position is as the Head of Performance People and Culture Development at the British Triathlon Federation, where they are responsible for sustaining success and developing a high-performance culture.

Matt Jefferson attended Loughborough University from 2006 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geography. Matt then attended Brookfield Community School from 1998 to 2005, where they obtained their A Levels. In 2011, Matt attended The Coaching Academy and received a Certificate in Personal Coaching. Matt also acquired an Executive Coaching and Mentoring (Level 7) certification from ILM, though the start and end years are not specified. Additionally, Matt received a NLP Coach Practitioner certification from Quality Culture Ltd in 2017. Matt obtained an Accredited Advisor certification from UK Anti-Doping in September 2017.
