Craig Hobbs is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Development and Management at The University of Bolton, where multiple roles have included Programme Leader for the BA (Hon) Sport Development and Coaching. As a volunteer member of the Research and Impact Group at British Universities & Colleges Sport since November 2021, Craig has contributed to higher education partnerships through positions such as HE Advisory Group Member at the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity and External Examiner at the University of Bedfordshire. Previous experience includes serving as Head Coach and Regional Hockey Development Manager for England and Great Britain Hockey, alongside various consultancy and coaching roles in educational institutions. Currently a PhD candidate at The Manchester Metropolitan University, Craig's research focuses on university sport, active well-being, and the student experience.
