Jermaine Barker

Jermaine Barker has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Jermaine started their career as the Chief Executive Officer at ComputerCity GT, Guyana, where they established the company's guidelines and oversaw procurement processes. Jermaine then worked as an IT Consultant at Blue Ignition, where they developed SharePoint portals for vendor management.

After that, Jermaine joined Multivision Inc as a Senior Developer, where they built a SharePoint 2010 portal for asset tracking and resource management. Jermaine then moved on to AT&T as a SharePoint Developer, where they developed custom workflows for document tracking.

Jermaine later joined Accenture and held multiple roles. As a SharePoint Support Specialist, they designed and developed custom SharePoint portals. Jermaine also worked as a FAR-TMT QA Team Lead, leading the Quality Assurance effort for various projects. In their role as a Team Lead Project Manager, they managed and lead multiple Agile teams, implementing technology visions for the United States Postal Services.

Currently, Jermaine is working at BRMi as the Director of Technology.

Jermaine Barker completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Howard University, where they studied from 2000 to 2003. Jermaine then pursued a Masters of Science degree in Molecular Genetics from the same institution, completing it from 2009 to 2011. Prior to enrolling at Howard University, Jermaine attended President's College from 1991 to 1998, focusing on Physical Sciences.

In addition to their formal education, Jermaine also obtained several certifications. Jermaine achieved an IC Agile Certification Professional ICP from The International Consortium for Agile in November 2016. In June 2013, they earned a Pro:Designing and Developing Windows Azure Application certification from Microsoft. Jermaine also holds a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute, Washington DC Chapter, Inc, obtained in January 2016. Furthermore, they have undertaken training in Microsoft SharePoint Application Development 2010 and Programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 from Microsoft, although specific completion dates were not provided for these certifications.
