Aonkon Dey currently serves as an Associate Computational Biologist at both the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital since June 2022, focusing on single-cell genomics within the Villani Lab. Responsibilities include conceiving and applying algorithms and analytical approaches for analyzing single-cell RNA/DNA/protein/ATAC-sequencing data across various human tissues and immune-related diseases. Prior experience includes work as a Research Assistant in Deep Learning at Tufts University's Georgakoudi Lab, where deep learning models were developed for image restoration and segmentation, and as a Research Assistant in Tissue Engineering at the Kaplan Lab, creating protocols for bioelectronic devices. Aonkon also interned at Gilead Sciences, developing data mapping and statistical frameworks for HIV vaccine trials. Aonkon holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science from Tufts University.
