Brooks Burt is an Associate Computational Biologist at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard since August 2023. Previously, Brooks worked as an RNAseq Firefly Researcher at Bucknell University from August 2022 to August 2023, where responsibilities included creating and executing RNAseq analysis to identify differentially expressed genes related to immunity in fireflies. Additionally, Brooks developed a command line script pipeline for efficient data processing. Earlier experiences include studying machine learning algorithms at Inspirit AI, creating a pneumonia detection program using a convolutional neural network, and holding various retail positions at UNTUCKit, including Keyholder and Sales Associate. Research experience includes work at NanoTomer, Inc., focusing on immunofluorescence staining, and an internship at RBC Wealth Management involving client segmentation and report creation. Brooks holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Bucknell University and is pursuing a CORe Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online.
