Abner Mir has a diverse range of work experience in the broadcast and media industry. Abner served as an Engineering Director at Broadcast Sports International, LLC from 2016 to the present. Prior to that, they worked as a Game Day Production Engineer for the Washington Redskins starting in 2011. Abner was a Senior Design Engineer at Communications Engineering, Inc. (CEI) from 2006 to September 2016, where they were responsible for designing and managing media communications systems. Abner also worked as a Lead Broadcast System Designer at WAMU 88.5 from 2012 to 2013. Abner has experience as an independent contractor, where they specialized in designing and integrating audio/visual installations for projects such as Washington Post Radio and WTOP News Radio. Abner also worked as a Contractor: Radio Systems Engineer for WTOP News Radio - Bonneville International from 2004 to 2006. Abner's early career involved serving as the Deputy Director of Broadcast Operations at Radio Free Asia from 1996 to 2006, where they oversaw a multi-channel international broadcast facility and managed a large staff of production engineers.

Abner Mir completed their Associate's Degree in General Studies at Howard Community College from 1991 to 1993. Abner then pursued their Bachelor's Degree in Audio Technology at American University from 1994 to 1996. In 2005 to 2006, they obtained a Master's Degree in Worship Studies from Liberty University.

In addition to their formal education, Abner Mir has also received various certifications. In March 2016, they became Q-Sys Certified from QSC. In May 2016, they obtained the CTS certification from InfoComm International and completed the Loop Advance Class from Williams Sound. Furthermore, in September 2015, they completed the Tesira Training Course offered by Biamp Systems.
