POSITION SUMMARY: 

Broadvoice is looking for an experienced Web Developer (WordPress) to join our growing Marketing team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our online presence. Your primary responsibility will be to manage our WordPress instances, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and running efficiently. You'll work closely with our marketing and product teams to implement new features, improve website functionality, and provide a seamless user experience across our digital platforms. 

 

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY: 

  • Manage and maintain multiple WordPress websites, ensuring they are optimized for performance, accessibility, and security. 
  • Implement updates, plugins, and themes, customizing as necessary to meet business requirements and enhance user experience. 
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement new website features and functionalities that support our marketing and product strategies. 
  • Conduct regular website audits to identify areas for improvement and implement fixes to enhance speed, SEO, and user engagement. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any website issues, including content, plugins, and integration problems. 
  • Collaborate with external agencies or freelancers as needed to support website development and maintenance. 
  • Stay abreast of the latest web development trends and technologies, recommending and implementing innovations that can benefit Broadvoice's digital presence. 
  • Ensure website compliance with legal and privacy requirements, including GDPR and CCPA. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing WordPress websites, including theme and plugin development, custom post types, and API integrations. 
  • Proficient in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design principles. 
  • Experience with website optimization tools and strategies, including SEO, caching, and content delivery networks. 
  • Strong understanding of website security best practices and experience implementing security measures for WordPress. 
  • Familiarity with website analytics and performance monitoring tools. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. 
  • Strong communication skills (fluent English is a must), with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms.
