Caroline M. has extensive work experience in marketing and communications. Caroline started their career at Clydesdale Bank as a Customer Service Officer. Caroline then worked as a Marketing Assistant and PA to the Managing Director at Struan Motors Ltd, where they were involved in marketing strategy, database management, direct mail campaigns, advertising, and event organization. Caroline then joined C J Lang & Son Ltd as an Assistant Marketing Manager, responsible for media and public relations, press releases, employee newsletters, and trade publications.

Caroline later joined Alliance Trust PLC as a Press Officer, where they coordinated press releases, managed internal and external communications, and maintained a database of client case studies. Caroline then played a key role in the growth of LogicNow, first as a Senior Marketing Manager and later as a Marketing Manager. Caroline consistently beat demand generation targets, expanded the customer base, and managed the acquisition by GFI Software.

Caroline then worked at Waracle, first as a Digital Account Manager, where they managed client communication and identified mobile marketing opportunities, and later as the Waracle Marketing Manager, responsible for social media, event management, email marketing, blog content, and website project management. Caroline also worked as a Marketing Manager at Kumulos, a spin-off from Waracle, where they focused on marketing campaigns for their mobile app performance management platform.

Caroline then joined the University of Dundee as a Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, where they developed and implemented a marketing plan to support international recruitment targets and managed the marketing budget.

Their most recent role was at Hornbill, where they worked as a Marketing Manager. Their responsibilities included social media campaigns, event management, brand awareness, lead generation campaigns, email automation, database management, social media management, paid social advertising, video production, and media/trade press coordination.

Caroline's most recent position is as a Communications and Brand Marketing Manager at Broker Insights, beginning in 2023.

Caroline M. started their education at The High School of Dundee from 1992 to 1998. Caroline obtained their 1st Class MA Honours Degree in Business Economics with Marketing from the University of Dundee between 1998 and 2002. Their degree encompassed various subjects such as Business Strategy, Marketing, Research, Economics, Decisions, HR, Int Finance, and Industrial Economics.

Caroline M. also holds several additional certifications. In 2014, they acquired expertise in DIGITAL MARKETING, including Search Engine Marketing (SEO & PPC – Google Adwords), Social Media (incl Facebook & Twitter), Online PR, Websites & Usability, Online Advertising, Analytics, Email Marketing, Mobile & Responsiveness, and Digital Strategy from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing. Subsequently, in 2015, they achieved the APMP : The APM Project Management Qualification, scoring 71%, from the Association for Project Management.

Their latest certifications include Marketing Automation Fundamentals, obtained from Marketo, an Adobe Company in June 2020, and Digital Advertising, acquired from HubSpot Academy in March 2023. Caroline also earned the Google Ads Search Certification from the Google Digital Academy (Skillshop) in July 2022.
