Gisel Zapata

Gisel Zapata is a skilled Visual Arts Teacher at Bronx Charter School for the Arts since September 2021, contributing to students' artistic development. As the CEO and Founder of GilyLolita by Gisel Zapata since February 2014, Gisel oversees a personal brand focused on clothing, design, and illustration. Previous experience includes serving as Co-Facilitator at Children's Art & Science Workshop during summer 2021, where Gisel taught various art styles to middle and elementary school students. Gisel also worked as an Art Activity Specialist at New York Junior Tennis & Learning from December 2016 to June 2021, promoting safety and engagement among students while developing their artistic skills. Early career experience includes a role as a Brand Ambassador at Forever 21, enhancing customer experiences through personalized service. Gisel holds a degree in Fashion Design from Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, awarded in 2013.
