Juan Pimentel has a diverse work experience in education and case management. Juan started their career as a Bilingual Case Manager at Cayuga Centers in 2020, where they managed a caseload of unaccompanied children and coordinated the reunification process. In 2021, they served as an Elementary Music Teacher at THE NEW AMERICAN ACADEMY CHARTER SCHOOL, leading music classes and creating lesson plans aligned with state standards. Juan continued their music teaching career at the Bronx Charter School for the Arts in 2022 as a Lead Teacher for the Arts Department, collaborating with the school's leadership to plan themes, support performances, and develop academic calendars. Prior to their teaching roles, Juan worked as a Professional Education Technology Lab Supervisor at Berklee College of Music from 2017 to 2019.

Juan Pimentel completed their education as follows: From 2022 to 2024, they attended Hunter College and obtained a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Music Teacher Education. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2020, they attended Berklee College of Music and earned a Bachelor's degree in Music Teacher Education. Before their college education, they attended Celia Cruz Bronx High School of Music from 2011 to 2015. In addition to their degrees, Juan Pimentel has obtained several certifications, including the Foundations of Leadership Certificate 1 from The National Society of Leadership and Success in 2023, a New York State Teacher License from the NYC Department of Education in 2021, and a Massachusetts Teacher License from the ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION, MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF in 2020.
