Katia Lamer

Katia Lamer is a scientist and director of the Center for Multiscale Applied Sensing at Brookhaven National Laboratory, with a focus on environmental science and technologies since December 2019. Prior to this role, Katia served as a post-doctoral researcher at The City College of New York in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences and worked as a graduate assistant at Penn State University. Katia's research experience includes positions as a research assistant and undergraduate research assistant at McGill University, where foundational knowledge in atmospheric and oceanic sciences was developed. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Meteorology and Atmospheric Science from Penn State University, an MS in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from McGill University, and a BS in Earth System Science from McGill University. Early career experiences include supervisory and leadership roles in customer service and day camp settings.
