Michael Delgado

Michael Delgado currently serves as a Fire Lieutenant and Firefighter at Brookhaven National Laboratory since November 2022. Michael has extensive experience in fire service, including roles as an Instructor at Suffolk County Fire Academy since September 2014, Deputy County Fire Coordinator with Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services since 2010, and Fire Marshal for Long Island Rail Road from April 2014 to April 2023. Michael also held the position of Deputy Chief at Long Island MacArthur Airport Fire Department from 2013 to April 2014 and served as Division Chief and Hazardous Materials Coordinator for the Town of Islip from June 2004 to April 2014. Educational credentials include a degree as a WMD Hazardous Materials Specialist from Oklahoma State University and studies at Suffolk County Community College and Gettysburg College.
