Katherine Cornelius-Lindsay is a dedicated fire prevention inspector and public educator currently employed by the District of North Vancouver since May 2023, following a role as a fire prevention inspector with the City of Vancouver from December 2021 to May 2023. With experience as an outdoor educator at the University of British Columbia and a background in teaching English as a Second Language and working with students with neurological disabilities during educational placements at Laurentian University, Katherine has demonstrated a commitment to education and advocacy. Katherine served as a senator for the Laurentian University Students' General Association, focusing on disability and Indigenous policies. Katherine holds multiple degrees, including a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Teaching and a Bachelor of Education from Laurentian University, as well as various certifications related to fire safety and doula training.
