Aloysius Uche ORDU has a diverse and extensive work experience in various prestigious organizations. Aloysius Uche started their career as an Economist at The Economist Intelligence Unit (The EIU) in 1983 and worked there until 1985. From 1985 to 1988, they were an International Economist at Midland Bank Ltd. Aloysius Uche then joined The World Bank in 1988 and held the position of Manager until 2007. Following that, Aloysius worked at the African Development Bank Group as Vice President from 2007 to 2011. Aloysius Uche then returned to The World Bank, this time as a Director from 2011 to 2014. In 2015, Aloysius became the Managing Partner of Omapu Associates LLC, where they worked until 2020. Currently, they serve as the Senior Fellow & Director, Africa Growth Initiative at The Brookings Institution.

Aloysius Uche Ordu has an extensive educational background. Aloysius Uche began their studies at the University of Wales in 1976, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics and Law. After completing their undergraduate degree in 1979, they went on to study at the University of Bristol, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Quantitative Economics by 1981.

Building on their knowledge and qualifications, Ordu then pursued a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Sussex from 1981 to 1990. This further specialization in their field demonstrated their dedication to academic research and expertise in economics.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ordu obtained a certification in the Corporate Finance Leadership Program from the prestigious Harvard Business School in July 2000. This certification showcased their commitment to staying updated and further developing their skills in the field of finance and leadership.

Through their educational journey, Ordu's academic pursuits have equipped him with a strong foundation and continuous learning mindset, enabling him to become a well-rounded and knowledgeable individual in the fields of economics and finance.
