Jared Schott has a diverse range of work experience. Jared started their career as a Legal Advisor at the Permanent Mission of Palau to the United Nations in 2005. After that, they worked as an Associate at Latham & Watkins from 2007 to 2010. Jared then moved on to serve as a Special Advisor (Counsel) at the Ministry of Justice, Republic of Liberia from 2010 to 2012. Jared briefly worked at the United Nations as a Special Assistant in 2012 before joining The World Bank as a Governance Specialist from 2013 to 2015. Jared then transitioned to LA 2028, where they held the roles of Assistant General Counsel and Director of International Relations from 2015 to 2018. Most recently, they are working at The Brookings Institution as the Assistant Vice President and Deputy General Counsel starting from 2019.

Jared Schott attended Stanford University from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with honors in Economics and Political Science, specializing in International Security Studies. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at the New York University School of Law from 2003 to 2007. During this time, they obtained a JD/LLM degree with a focus on International Legal Studies.
