Fundraising Business Development at Brooklyn Academy Of Music

Emilie McDonald has a diverse work experience in the film and theater industry. Emilie began their career in 1994 as an Administrative Assistant at Alter Image Negative Cutter. In 1997, they worked as the Feature Film Director of Development at Milk & Honey Films. In 1998, they taught a Special Studies Course on Dream Imagery in Film at Oakwood School. Emilie then co-founded and produced for Fervent Theater Group in 1999. Emilie also joined Filmmakers Alliance that same year, where they served as the Creative Director and Office Manager. At Filmmakers Alliance, they helped organize the FA 2000 DGA Film Festival, managed the Los Angeles office, and assisted with fundraising and marketing. In 2003, Emilie worked as an Executive Assistant at FTVentures until 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they were involved in fundraising and business development at Brooklyn Academy of Music. In 2009, Emilie founded their own independent production company called fervent films, where they worked as a Director, Writer, and Producer. Emilie also directed for Lo-fi Lounge during that time. Additionally, Emilie created and founded www.blythe-artists.com in 2009.

Emilie McDonald completed their Bachelor's degree in Film/Drama at Vassar College from 1987 to 1991. Afterward, they pursued further education at DCTV and attended Fred Kareman's acting class. However, the specific start and end dates for these additional educational experiences are not provided.
