Leese Walker

Teaching Artist at Brooklyn Academy Of Music

Leese Walker has a diverse work experience in the performing arts industry. They started their career in 1992 as an intern and performer at the Irondale Ensemble Project. In 1997, they became the Artistic/Producing Director of the Strike Anywhere Performance Ensemble, a role they held for an undisclosed amount of time. Also in 1997, they joined the Roundabout Theatre Company as a Roundabout Teaching-Artist. In 1999, Walker joined the Brooklyn Academy of Music as a Teaching-Artist. They then became a member of the Network of Ensemble Theaters in 2001 and served as a Former Board Member from 2003 to 2008. Overall, Leese Walker has had a long and varied career in the performing arts, with a focus on directing, producing, and teaching.

Leese Walker attended Dartmouth College from 1987 to 1992. During this time, from 1987 to 1991, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama. After completing their education at Dartmouth College, Leese obtained additional certifications. In 2010, they became certified in Multidisciplinary Soundpainter Levels 1 & 2 from Walter Thompson. In 2020, Leese obtained a certification in Teaching Techniques: Creating Effective Learning Assessments from LinkedIn.
