Tricia Smit

Tricia Smit has a diverse work experience in the non-profit arts sector. Tricia started their career at The Joffrey Ballet as a Corporate Project Manager, focusing on arts education and community engagement. Tricia then worked at Sens Production as the Director of Operations & Outreach, Development, where they produced site-specific dance performances and films. Tricia later became the Director of Development at Dancewave, a Brooklyn-based dance center focused on dance education and mentorship. Tricia then joined New York Live Arts as the Manager of Individual Giving & Special Events, responsible for fundraising and event management. Currently, Tricia is the Director of Donor Engagement at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Overall, Tricia has a strong background in fundraising, event management, and arts education.

Tricia Smit has a Master of Science (MS) in Management from the New School - Milano School of Management. Tricia also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Dance & Communications from Denison University.
