Alexandra Dougherty

Alexandra Dougherty is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within public defense and civil liberties organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Attorney and Policy Counsel at Brooklyn Defender Services since September 2017, Alexandra previously worked as a Legal Fellow and Staff Attorney at CAMBA from August 2015 to August 2017. Earlier experience includes a Clinical Internship at the New York Civil Liberties Union, a Research Assistant position at The Furman Center, and several legal internship roles at organizations like the Legal Aid Society and South Brooklyn Legal Services. Alexandra also contributed as a Legal Intern at the US EPA and worked as a Campus Organizer for CalPIRG Energy Service Corps.
