Emma Alpert

Emma Alpert is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in family defense and medially complicated cases. Since January 2013, Emma has served as the Senior Supervising Attorney for Medically Complicated Cases at Brooklyn Defenders, following various roles including Supervising Attorney and Senior Staff Attorney within the organization's Family Defense Practice. Prior to this, Emma worked at Legal Services NYC from September 2009 to January 2013 as a Staff Attorney for the Brooklyn Family Defense Project and was a Yale Law School Public Interest Fellow. Emma holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Yale Law School, earned in 2009, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Art History from Wesleyan University, completed in 2004.
