Family Programs Coordinator at Brooklyn Museum

Lillian Young is an experienced art educator and program coordinator currently serving as the Family Programs Coordinator at the Brooklyn Museum since June 2022, responsible for developing multigenerational art programs and supervising teaching artists. In addition to this role, Lillian is also the Postings and Event Coordinator and Board Member for the New York City Museum Educators Roundtable, contributing to outreach efforts and board activities since August 2022. Previous experience includes roles at The Studio Museum in Harlem as an Education Practicum Fellow, and at the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum as both an Education Intern and Family and Education Fellow, where Lillian designed art projects and tours. Additional positions held include a Learning and Public Engagement Intern at the Art Institute of Chicago, Studio Greeter and Facilitator at Kimbell Art Museum, and Art Teacher at Montessori School of Fort Worth. Lillian holds a Master of Fine Arts from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Texas Christian University.
