Matthew Martinez

Matthew Martinez is an accomplished cardiologist currently serving as the Director of Sports Cardiology and the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center at Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Morristown Medical Center since October 2019. Additionally, Matthew holds multiple roles within professional sports, including Major League Soccer Cardiologist at MLS National Sales Center since September 2013, Cardiologist for the National Basketball Players Association since August 2017, and Brooklyn Nets Cardiologist since August 2018. Prior to these positions, Matthew served as the Medical Director of Cardiac Imaging at Lehigh Valley Health Network from June 2009 to October 2019. Matthew earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Mayo Graduate School and also attended Wright State University for education.
