Alex Mouyios

Alex Mouyios is an experienced library professional currently serving as Library Manager at Brooklyn Public Library since June 2022, following a decade-long tenure at The New York Public Library as an Information Assistant and Acting Library Manager. Throughout the career, Alex has developed innovative programs for patrons, coordinated community outreach, and managed day-to-day operations in busy urban libraries, particularly in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Other roles include Archives Intern at Mercy College Libraries and various positions at Vista on the Lake and Sojourner Truth Library. Alex holds a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Queens College and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Italian Language and Culture from SUNY New Paltz.
