Donna Merolle

Donna Merolle, Ed.D., R.N. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare and education fields. Donna currently serves as the Campus President at Chamberlain University since November 2021. Prior to this, they held various positions at Broward College, starting from 2013. These roles included Associate Vice President of Continuing Education Health Sciences/Workforce Development and Dean of Continuing Education Health Sciences/Workforce Development. In these positions, Donna was responsible for healthcare industry education, strategic initiatives, compliance with continuing education rules, and oversight of faculty positions.

Before joining Broward College, Donna worked as the Director of Education at Memorial Hospital West from 2008 to 2013. Donna also served as an Adjunct Online Faculty for Nursing at Florida International University from 2008 to 2010. Donna began their career in academia at Broward College in 1998, where they worked as an Adjunct Online Faculty and Assistant Professor of Nursing until 2008. Prior to that, they held the position of Assistant Professor of Nursing at Barry University from 1994 to 1997 and Broward College from 1992 to 1994.

Donna's early career consisted of roles as a Clinical Coordinator for Medical/Surgical Services at Broward Health from 1987 to 1989, an Adjunct Clinical Faculty for Nursing at Broward College from 1985 to 1986, and a Critical Care Registered Nurse at Humana Hospital Bennett from 1980 to 1985.

Donna Merolle, Ed.D., R.N. holds an Associate of Science degree in Registered Nursing from Broward College, earned from 1977 to 1979. Donna obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University, graduating from 1984 to 1987. From 1984 to 1987, they pursued a Master's degree in Nursing Education at Barry University. Lastly, they completed their Ed.D in Instructional Technology and Distance Education at Nova Southeastern University from 2004 to 2008.
