Tara Jones

Tara Jones, Ed.D., FAAC®, has a wealth of experience in the field of student financial aid and enrollment management. Tara is currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Student Financial Services at Broward College since March 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Vice President of Student Financial Aid at Hanover College from August 2020 to March 2021.

Tara'sprevious roles include Assistant Vice President of Enrollment/Chief Student Financial Aid Officer at Jacksonville University from July 2019 to August 2020, Chief Student Financial Aid Officer at Jacksonville University from an unspecified date in 2016 to August 2020, Director of Financial Aid at Spring Hill College from September 2014 to September 2016, and Director of Financial Aid at Stetson University from September 2012 to October 2014.

Tara Jones also has experience working in financial aid at Shorter University, where they served as Director of Financial Aid from May 2007 to September 2012, and as an Adjunct Faculty member from August 2009 to December 2011. Additionally, they worked as a Grant Writer - Foundations at Berry College from 1999 to 2002.

Earlier in their career, Tara Jones served as the Director of Business Operations and Student Affairs at Davenport College - South Bend, IN from 1992 to 1997, and as the Director of Financial Aid at Kentucky Christian University from 1985 to 1992. Throughout their various roles, Tara Jones has demonstrated expertise in financial aid administration, student service, enrollment management, and strategic planning.

Tara Jones, Ed.D., FAAC®, holds a Master of Non-Profit Administration (MNA) degree from the University of Notre Dame - Mendoza College of Business, which they completed from 1995 to 1998. Tara also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Psychology from Kentucky Christian University, where they studied from 1984 to 1988. Tara earned their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Abilene Christian University. Additionally, they hold certifications including Certified Financial Aid Administrator (CFAA) 100+ from the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), as well as certifications in All Researchers (RCR) and Social/Behavioral/Education from the CITI Program, a Division of BRANY.
