Getty Melaku

Getty Melaku is currently the Head of Corporate Finance at Brown Advisory. Prior to this, they served as the CFO for International, Small Business, and Walmart Partnership at Capital One from August 2018 to February 2021. Melaku has also held the position of CFO for Healthcare Financial Services at GE Capital from December 1997 to May 2015, and CFO, GE Africa from May 2015 to July 2018. Getty started their career at GE in June 1993 as part of the Corporate Audit Staff and held that position until November 1997.

Getty Melaku has a MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.

Getty Melaku reports to Michael D. Hankin, President & CEO. They are on a team with Sid Ahl - CIO for Private Client, Endowments and Foundations, Dune Thorne - Head of Private Client Growth and Strategy, and David M. Churchill - CFO & COO.
